L. J. Hymel is a lifelong Baton Rouge resident and a partner at Hymel Davis & Petersen. Earlier in his career he co-founded Hymel & Ponder, a practice focused on labor law and personal injury, and was later elected to the Baton Rouge City Court.
For about seven years he served as U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana. His current practice includes personal injury litigation, criminal and white collar defense, business litigation, and state and federal appeals.
