Doug Edwards

Doug Edwards is the founding attorney of Edwards Law and a North Carolina State Bar board-certified specialist in state criminal law whose practice is focused solely on criminal defense. Before entering private practice, he served for more than ten years as an Assistant District Attorney in Buncombe County, including two years as Chief Assistant District Attorney, where he supervised other prosecutors and handled high-level matters from investigation through trial.

The firm reports that he has tried more than 150 cases to a jury verdict across his career as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney, and that his practice includes serious felony matters such as sex offenses.
