Albert M. Messer

Al Messer founded Messer Law Firm in Asheville in 1999 and is board certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a specialist in both state and federal criminal law. He was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 1997 and previously served as a Buncombe County Assistant District Attorney, giving him experience from both the prosecution and defense perspectives.

He earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the University of Arkansas, and he maintains an active trial practice in the state and federal courts of North Carolina. He is recognized by Super Lawyers.
